Web browsers allow users to access aspects of the Internet via the World Wide Web. Nearly all types of transactions can occur online today: banking, shopping, education, communication etc. File sharing has been extremely used by home and office clients for the last couple of years.
This project serves to develop an online file sharing system specifically for office needs.The system developped is mainly built on document transferal from a server to any authorized office clients anytime, anyplace. The system provides a unique service to many different types of users, ranging from simple users to manager. This system
is revolutionary to document processing. The uniqueness is being web based and for general-purpose. Being web based makes this system available everywhere through internet.
Being general-purpose means system can be used for all type of documents and for most organizations.
At the end of the project, a web based document management system is developed.
The built-in document type supports are Microsoft Word, PDF and other frequently used document types. |
